Comments

Passed two skulls, and a full set of bones. We frightened several stupid sheep. Saw Canada and domestic geese, peacock, robin, dipper, redshanks, very colourful chaffinch, hens, very friendly dog, two boxer dogs, and a guinea fowl.

Saw 6 bridges, including a very fancy S-shaped bridge, and a stunning frozen waterfall. There were lots of icicles. We also had to do a vertical climb at one point.

There were super views from Callerhues Crags, and we had lunch in a nice spot, from which we could see superb views of Cross Fell and Blencathra. Met a lone runner. Long shadows, lots of riggs. Beautiful ice crystals on blades of grass, and a frozen bog. GG fell into a hole. We stopped at a pub, the Bay Horse, then visited an interesting Roman Fort - Habitancvm. Nearby was a nice house with a Wendy House on a platform.
