A good walk which was enjoyed by all – and it wasn't as muddy as anticipated. Ken forgot his boots and had to go home to fetch them. Diane navigated the first section to Horsley using her newly purchased OS software, which Richard has as well. Ken joined us again at Horsley. We stopped for lunch outside Horsley Business Park. Sitting on the rocks proved too windy, but we got some shelter sitting against the wall. Ruby enjoyed the total lack of livestock and was able to do zoomies to her heart’s content. The Tyne had a lot of water in it, and we mistook a fisherman for a strawman. At the end of the walk we had tea or coffee in the café at the car park. Wildlife: Very little – only saw a kestrel and a sparrowhawk.

The Badger, Ponteland – enjoyable meal, crumble on the menu – but rather expensive overall.
