Comments

There were two naturists in a meadow at the side of Seaton Burn.

We found a shady lunch spot in Holywell Dene by a waterfall. Ruby disgraced herself by rolling in some poo. There was a shored-up road bridge at Holywell.

We worked our way around a large landfill site to Seghill Recycling Plant. We spotted a beautifully decorated methane gas tank. We found it difficult to get out of the recycling plant and on to the path to Seghill.

We visited our old friend George G – it was good to see him, and he was pleased to see us.

Later we passed the New Hartley Mining Memorial and the memorial where Delaval fell of his horse.

Wildlife: Buzzard, pheasant, horses.

Meal

Redhouse Farm Inn, Whitley Bay, the refurbished pub near Ashley's house. Joined by Ashley, Carol (another welcome reunion) and Evelyn. The fish was very good.
