Comments

There was high bracken and indistinct paths. We stopped for lunch at the head of Carey Burn on a grassy bank.

All the buildings had red guttering.

Ken slipped on some loose stones and injured his knee.

Wildlife: Deer, four rabbits, several grouse, skylark, heron on the river. Nice clean cows.

Flora: Thistles, hairbells, campanella, foxgloves, ragwort, cotton grass, broom, orange berries on rowan trees.

Also a dead adder, rabbits, squashed frogs and a cuddly toy.

Meal

Falcon’s Nest, joined by Evelyn, George, and Michael
