Comments

This was the first walk for the group after the lifting of lockdown restrictions. As we were eight in total, we split into two groups (only groups of six allowed outdoors). We walked about 10 miles.

There were lots of people and dogs.

We found a sheltered lunch spot against the dunes, after which Michelle, Michael and Ashley returned to the cars, while the rest of us continued northwards. We decided to turn as the tide was coming in and covering the beach. We went up into the dunes and walked along the coastal path, which was very busy with cars. We returned to the beach for the final section of the walk.

Wildlife:

We found a young seal on the beach about a mile north of Cresswell. Initially concerned as it seemed to be without its mother, we reported it to the local seal watch group, but were told it would be able to float out to sea on the next tide.
