| Comments | We assembled as directed at Old Bewick Farm. However, as it was raining heavily and visibilty was very poor, we decided to abandon the planned route. We drove to Ingram Valley hoping to get a hot drink at the visitor centre. When we arrived there we found that the centre was closed because it was the day of the Ingram show. We went into the village hall where hot drinks and delicious homemade baking was being served. Then we drove up to the road end and walked up tp Linhope Spout, where we had our sandwiches and admired the waterfall. We walked back to the cars and headed home, having decided to cancel the meal as it was too long to hang around until the evening.
