A character-building walk and a test of the waterproofs. However, the path conditions were good and we came back with relatively clean boots. We managed a resonably sheltered lunch at Waskerley Station, where the picnic tables had been partially burnt by barbeque users. During the walk we saw a stylish owl box and a rainbow. Waskerley Church was locked. The water on the reservoir was stormy. We only met three people – two female joggers and a man in a camouflage jacket. Wildlife: Red kite, two geese and a skein of geese (v-formation), grey squirrel, rabbit, grouse and blackface sheep. |
